That’s an impressive, impactful amount, but that’s just a part of this important story. Under Rhonda’s leadership, the Scholarship Fund has provided over $2.2 million in scholarships. It’s an IRS 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to provide scholarship assistance and educational opportunities to high-achieving African American youth. The National Association of Black Automotive Suppliers membership created the NABS Scholarship Fund in 1987. That education, plus her own hard work and dedication, led Rhonda to her current role as Executive Director for the National Association of Black Suppliers Scholarship Fund. It’s a calling that began at a very young age when she helped care for her mother and siblings, then continued as a single mother raising three children.ĭetermined to create a better life for herself and her family, Rhonda earned Associate of Applied Science degree in General Business from Schoolcraft College.
